What a day this last Tuesday was for solar PV generation. The system generated 41.5 kWh which is one of the top days since going live in August. 46.5 kWh is the biggest production to date from October 1st. It’s going to be a great production day when you see a perfect bell shape like this … there was not a cloud in the sky all day.
The average daily electrical usage for 723 Spring Street is 48.5 kWh over the last 24 months. I pay an average rate of $.08/kWh because of our discounted geothermal meter rate, but I am credited $.11/kWh under the DTE Solar Currents Program. This means that I can be “Net Zero Bill” in any month where I can produce about 80% of the total consumption. I expect that we will be “Net Zero Bill” several months of the year.

You gotta like that Scott! I have solar envy…
Interesting how many sunny days we’ve had in January this year looking at the week’s graphs.
I believe that the week leading up to Tuesday, January 10th may be the highest producing week since my start-up in August. Pretty unusual for Michigan in January!
Check out our website, you can see many of our installations rocking around SE Michigan. Thanks for sharing @723springstreet. I’ve blogged this on. – Val
